History of the Pavilion Cats

Pavilion

Back in the mid 1980’s Lyn & Doreen purchased for £1000 from Haywards Heath College, their unwanted cricket pavilion. It was dismantled and re-erected at Gaybrook Cattery where Paws & Claws boarded their cats for 29 years, to give sanctuary to our old and unhomeable cats until the end of their days.

Our very own rescue centre is now built and on 30th May 2006 all our cats were moved to their new home which includes a ‘new Pavilion’. (pictured above)

PavilionLike the old one, it is completely furnished for their comfort. Their sitting room leads out to a covered patio on which are placed garden chairs from which they can watch the world go by. Beyond this is a secure garden where they can enjoy the fresh air.

Many cats have enjoyed a happy, peaceful and often long ‘retirement’ with Paws & Claws.
