Lewes Book Fairs

Paws and Claws Book Fairs are always very popular and are a magnet for book enthusiasts from all over southern England. There are over 40 stalls selling thousands of interesting second-hand, rare, readable and collectable books covering a wide range of subjects.

For example, children's book are always well represented and you will find many treasures from yesteryear such as the "Eagle Annual" and the Jennings series. There are also old leaflets and postcards for sale and often a book-binding expert or an autograph expert are present. Authors frequently come to the book fairs and are pleased to meet their readers.

Our book fairs are now normally held five times a year (an increase from four in 2008) at Lewes Town Hall. Open to the public from 10am to 4pm. Refreshments are available. Admission 50p.
